Methodology of Assisting Indie Authors
I am Allen Thobois, Founder of Writers House Of Corrections, where we provide Proofreading and other book related services to
“Help Indie Authors Achieve Their Goals.”
When proofreading, my method is to read the manuscript once through for content and continuity. The second reading is to check line by line, on a sentence by sentence level, for any typos and grammar issues I may have overlooked in the first read.
Email List Building
We comb through the available BOOK PROMOTION sites, searching for the ones best suited to your genre and specific book. Then we set up the promotions you are accepted in at the bottom of your newsletter. Content for your newsletter should be sent to us at least 2-3 days prior to publication date. This entails having a Reader Magner (Free book) or one in Kindle Unlimited which the readers can acquire for free by signing up for your newsletters. This gives them a taste of your writing and the plan is that they like your books and buy more of them. They can, of course, unsubscribe at any time.
As an Online Business Manager, I have been able to take some of the load off of my writer friends by providing a variety of services including but not limited to:
WordPress Website Back-ups, Maintenance and Security, Newsletters, (Writing, Tracking Author Swaps, Promos) Maintain ARC Distributions, and last, but not least; we have a Full-Charge Bookkeeper on-site with over 30 years’ experience.
